A personalised gift basket for a new arrival - and nursery storage long after the shower. Put the baby's name in a framed nameplate on the front, over a greeting like Welcome or Hello, and pick the motif that runs through the whole piece: a heart, star, cloud, teddy bear, bunny or daisy, cut through the medallion at the top of the carry handle and repeated in the little two-tone tiles beside the name. Choose the finish for the walls - open picket slats, a row of your motif, applied shaker panels, soft vertical reeding or plain - and the top edge, scalloped, cloud or straight. Size it from a small hamper to a full 220 mm basket. Prints in three colours with no supports: the basket on one plate, the handle, nameplate and tiles flat on the next, then a few drops of glue and it is done. Prefer a single filament? Set the nameplate to engraved and the name is cut straight into the wall.
The baby's name, raised large on the front nameplate. Accented letters are fine. Keep it short so it stays bold across the front — long names shrink to fit.
The small line above the name, e.g. Welcome, Hello, Bem-vindo or Oh Baby. Leave it empty for just the name, centred large on its own.
The motif that runs through the whole piece: it is cut through the medallion at the top of the handle, it is the shape of the little glued-on accents, and it is the cutout used by the motif-row finish. One shape everywhere is what keeps the basket looking designed rather than decorated.
The finish worked into the four outer walls, between the floor and the rim. Cutouts are kept clear of the nameplate, the accents and the handle posts, so the front always reads cleanly.
How the top edge is shaped. The bumps are half-round in the wall face, so they print with no overhang at all.
How the name is carried on the front wall. plaque: a separate framed tile that prints flat and glues into a recess — the frame and lettering come out in the third colour, the showpiece. engraved: the greeting and name cut straight into the wall, for a single-filament printer. none: a plain front.
The carry handle: a flat-printed arch with a motif medallion at its apex, whose tenons plug into mortises in two reinforced posts inside the end walls. Turn it off for a plain open basket that stacks and stores flat.
Little two-tone motif tiles that glue into shallow pockets in the walls, flanking the nameplate. They print flat with a raised inner shape in the lettering colour.

Wall height from the table to the top of the rim. Taller walls hold more but leave a smaller window for the wall finish.
Thickness of the walls and the floor. 2.8 mm is two perimeters plus a little and is plenty for a gift basket; go thicker for a piece that will be handled hard.
