A coaster set you can play: nine chunky X and O pieces in a 3x3 tray that is the game board one minute and the storage case the next. Every piece is a real drink coaster — the X's wide arms and the O's thick ring keep mugs and glasses sitting flat and stable. Pieces drop into their pockets and stand a little proud of the board, so they are easy to grab mid-game, and the round O leaves finger room at the pocket corners just like the diagonal X does at the edges. The optional lid caps the tray into a clean flush-sided case with an engraved # grid on top and thumb notches to pop it open. Pick the piece size and thickness; the board sizes itself. Prints as a three-plate project — tray, pieces and lid — in three colours.
Width of each X and O piece. 70 mm suits mugs and standard glasses. The tray grows with the pieces (about 235 mm square at 70 mm).
How chunky each piece is. Pieces sit in pockets 2 mm shallower than this, so they always stand a little proud of the board for easy grabbing.
